A real Dhara advisory sheet for potassium, dated 23 January 2024: one field drawn as a grid of coloured 10 by 10 metre squares, with the weaker band outlined, above a Hindi instruction to treat the weak part of the field.

Real Dhara output — one field, four nutrients, 23 January 2024. This is what reaches the farmer's phone.

Rosni turns satellite data, agricultural science and AI into decisions farmers can act on — and into the operating intelligence that agri-businesses, mills and institutions run on.

What we do

Technology that connects the agriculture ecosystem

Agriculture generates enormous amounts of data and very few usable decisions. Rosni closes that gap — at the field, at the dealer counter, in the polyhouse, and in the enterprise.

Precision agriculture

Satellite and field-level intelligence on soil, crop health, crop stage, moisture, nutrients and stress — resolved to individual fields rather than districts.

AI & farm advisory

Crop advisory, pest and disease identification, weather and irrigation guidance, and direct access to agricultural scientists — in the farmer's own language, on the phone they already own.

Digital farmer networks

Software that connects farmers, dealers, FPOs, companies and agricultural experts, so advice, demand and supply move through the channel instead of stopping at it.

Agri enterprise intelligence

Crop area, yield and quality intelligence for the businesses whose operations depend on knowing what is actually growing in their catchment.

Solutions

Eight products. Two divisions. One ecosystem.

Each product solves a specific problem for a specific customer. Together they cover the value chain from soil to shelf — and from the field to the dairy.

The Rosni ecosystem

One field. Many layers of intelligence.

The same intelligence serves a farmer and a boardroom at the same time. Scroll to watch it build.

  1. 01

    A field, from orbit

Every season starts with a boundary and a question — resolved to an individual plot, not a district.

  2. 02

    Soil, mapped

Nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic carbon and pH — on a 10 × 10 metre grid.

  3. 03

    Weak grids, found

The squares heading for stress, flagged before the crop shows symptoms.

  4. 04

    Crop health, tracked

Stage, vigour and stress, through the season rather than once at sowing.

  5. 05

    Advice, generated

What to apply, how much, and when — matched to what each part of the field needs.

  6. 06

    The farmer decides

In their language, on the phone they already own.

  7. 07

The network and the enterprise respond

Dealers see demand before it reaches the counter; the mill sees area, yield and quality across the whole catchment.

One field. Every layer at once — the same intelligence serving a farmer and a boardroom at the same time.

Technology

Powered by deep agricultural technology

Rosni is a technology company that understands agriculture — not an agriculture company that bought software. The stack is built in-house, and the six parts are only useful together.

  1. Agricultural science Two decades of agronomy, embedded in the algorithms rather than bolted on
  2. Satellite & remote sensing Hyperspectral, multispectral and SAR imagery
  3. AI & machine learning Models trained on Indian crops, soils and seasons
  4. IoT & field data Sensors in polyhouses and on the ground, streaming continuously
  5. Data analytics Readings into patterns, and patterns into forecasts
  6. Digital platforms Mobile, web and APIs — wherever the decision is made

The output

Actionable agricultural intelligence

A decision a farmer, a dealer or a mill can act on today — not a dataset somebody still has to interpret.

Why SAR matters in an Indian season

Optical satellites cannot see through monsoon cloud — the standard objection to satellite agriculture in India, and it lands in kharif, exactly when the crop most needs watching. Synthetic aperture radar is not stopped by cloud. Carrying both is why the season keeps being measured instead of going dark for eight weeks.

A joint programme in digital agriculture with GBPUAT, Pantnagar

Rosni and Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for joint work in digital agriculture innovation and commercialization — a framework for research, technology validation, product development and taking proven technology to the field. Signed by the University's Director Research and Rosni's Founder Director in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. S. K. Kashyap, and reported across regional press.

Named areas include AI and machine learning, satellite and remote sensing, soil and crop analytics, IoT and precision agriculture, irrigation and fertigation, climate-smart agriculture and digital advisory systems. The collaboration runs within the University — it is not a separate company or joint venture, and individual projects are agreed one at a time.

Technical training and support

Rosni's engineering and data teams receive technical training and support through IN-SPACe, Google for Startups and Claude for Startups, with certifications from IN-SPACe and Google. Rosni has been invited to speak at IN-SPACe and Google programmes, including the IN-SPACe National Space Day programme at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, in August 2026.

Programme participation is not partnership, and this block is kept separate from institutional backing for that reason.

Business network

Take Rosni technology to the last mile

Agri-input dealers, retailers, distributors, FPOs and local agricultural entrepreneurs already have the farmer's trust. Rosni gives them the technology to go with it.

What partners get

  • Farmer acquisition
  • Ongoing engagement
  • Product promotion
  • Advance bookings
  • Farmer feedback
  • New business lines
  • Digital marketing support

In practice

What the technology actually does

Capability, not testimonials. Each of these becomes a full case study the moment a customer can be named.

Dhara

Precision soil intelligence

Mapping nutrient deficiency and surplus across a field so fertiliser goes where it is needed instead of everywhere.

Harcane

Sugar mill crop intelligence

Measuring cane area, standing crop, yield and brix across a mill's catchment, updated through the season.

I-Grow

Protected cultivation

Holding a polyhouse at the right vapour pressure deficit, photoperiod and CO₂ concentration — automatically, through the crop cycle.

Roshfem

Dairy herd improvement

Raising the proportion of female calves, and with it the milk-producing capacity of a herd.

Start with the soil

The clearest way into what Rosni builds is the layer underneath all of it: measuring what a field actually holds, from orbit, without a sample or a laboratory queue.

About

Building technology for a more intelligent agriculture

The work started in 2017, with a question that had bothered our founder through two decades in the agri industry: why does the farmer with the least margin for error get the least reliable information?

Rosni Agri Information Pvt Ltd was incorporated in Mohali in 2023 to carry that work forward at scale — satellite, AI, IoT and agricultural science, pointed squarely at Indian agriculture. Today it reaches around 16 lakh farmers across fourteen states, and the businesses and institutions that serve them.
