Farmer intelligence
Every agricultural question, answered in one place
Rosni Prime is the platform behind रोशनी किसान सहायक — crop diagnosis, scientific advisory, mandi rates, government schemes and direct access to agricultural scientists. Around 16 lakh farmers across fourteen states already use it.
The problem
The farmer with the least room for error gets the least reliable information
A farmer notices spots on a leaf. What happens next decides the season.
- 01
He asks the dealer
Whose advice, however well meant, is shaped by what is on the shelf behind him.
- 02
He asks a neighbour
Who offers an opinion, formed on a different field in a different year.
- 03
He asks the extension officer
Who is responsible for thousands of farmers across many villages, and cannot reach them all this week.
- 04
He sends a sample to a laboratory
If one is sought at all. The result arrives weeks later.
-
What it costs
The crop does not wait
Neither does the mandi price, the weather, or the window in which applying anything would still have helped.
The information that would settle the question exists. It has never been organised to arrive at the moment the decision is made.
What it does
One platform, from diagnosis to sale
- Crop clinic
- Photograph the affected plant. Rosni Prime identifies the disease or pest and returns a scientific recommendation — including cost-effective options, not only the most expensive one.
- Farm advisory
- Scientifically grounded guidance through the crop cycle, and consultation with agricultural scientists when a question needs a person rather than an answer.
- Mandi rates and market news
- Real-time rates across mandis, so the decision of where and when to sell is made on today's prices rather than last week's rumour.
- Soil intelligence
- Satellite-based soil testing through Dhara — nutrient mapping for the farmer's own field, delivered in the app, without sending a sample anywhere.
- Schemes and subsidies
- Government schemes the farmer is eligible for, with help completing the application — the step at which most eligible farmers drop out.
- Discounts on inputs
- Reduced prices on seeds, fertilisers, pesticides and equipment through Rosni's dealer partnerships.
He opens the app
He gets an answer
What happens when a farmer sees spots on a leaf
-
He photographs the symptom
On the phone he already owns, standing in the field where he noticed it.
-
The image is identified
Pest and disease recognition trained on Indian crops returns a probable cause in seconds.
-
An agricultural scientist is reachable
For the cases the model should not decide alone, and for the follow-up question the model cannot answer.
-
The advisory arrives in his language
Identification and remedy together, written to be acted on rather than interpreted.
-
He acts while it still matters
Inside the window in which applying anything would help — which is the whole point.
The same platform, in the farmer's language
Nothing here reaches a farmer in English. The services are presented in Hindi and named the way a farmer would name them — सब्सिडी for scheme eligibility, कृषि सलाह for advisory, मंडीभाव for market rates, फसल उपचार for crop treatment, and the discounts offered by companies on the network.
That translation work is not cosmetic. It is the difference between a platform a farmer can use unaided and one that needs somebody standing next to him.
Beyond the current crop
Three ways a farm gets stronger
Rosni Prime is built around three levers a farmer can actually pull.
- Raise productivity
- Better decisions on variety, nutrition, protection and timing.
- Reduce cost of cultivation
- Apply what is needed, when it is needed, at the best available price. Precision is cheaper than habit.
- Diversify income
- Economically profitable mixed cropping and high-value crops; staggering sowing dates to avoid the glut-induced price crash; and allied businesses — horticulture, poultry, beekeeping, pearl and fish farming, dairy.
Shift the sowing date so the harvest misses the glut. Advice like this comes from two decades in the trade, not from a content library — and it changes a season's income more than any single input decision.
Built for the farm
In the farmer's language, on the farmer's phone
Designed for the phone a farmer already owns, on the network available in their village, in the language they think in.
The brand they know it by is रोशनी किसान सहायक — and that recognition, built over years in the field, is the reason the platform reaches the farmers it does.
Put it in your pocket
Rosni Prime is free to start. For companies and institutions wanting to reach farmers through it, we build structured programmes.
