Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Rosni collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it.

1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers this website — the corporate site at which you are reading it — and the enquiries submitted through it.
Rosni's products collect and process data of their own. The रोशनी किसान सहायक (Rosni Prime) mobile application, the Dhara and Dhara Plus soil intelligence services, Farmer Connect, Network Connect, PowerMaize+, Harcane and I-Grow each operate under the terms and notices presented at the point you sign up for or are enrolled in them. Where a product notice and this policy differ, the product notice governs that product.
2. Who we are
Rosni Agri Information Pvt Ltd (“Rosni”, “we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in India, with its registered office at 1169/2, TDI City, Sector 110, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab 140307.
For the personal data described in this policy, Rosni is the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) — meaning we determine why and how it is processed, and we are accountable for it.
3. What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the enquiry form on this site, we collect what you type into it:
- Your name
- Your organisation, if you provide one
- Your email address
- Your telephone number, if you provide one
- The nature of your enquiry and the product it concerns
- Anything else you choose to write in the message field
Please do not put sensitive information into the message field. It is a free-text box for business context, not a secure channel.
Information collected automatically
Our web server records standard technical information when a page is requested: the IP address the request came from, the time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. These logs exist for security and for diagnosing faults.
This site is built as static pages. It sets no advertising or profiling cookies, embeds no social media trackers, and serves its fonts from our own server rather than a third-party font service.
Information we do not collect here
This website does not ask for, and you should not send us through it, government identification numbers, payment card or bank account details, health information, or any of the categories of information a form like this has no reason to hold.
4. Why we collect it
- To answer you
- The enquiry form exists so that someone at Rosni can reply. That means reading what you sent, routing it to the right person, and contacting you about it.
- To continue a conversation you started
- If your enquiry leads to a demonstration, a pilot or a commercial discussion, we keep the correspondence so that discussion has a history.
- To keep the site working and secure
- Server logs are used to investigate errors, detect abuse and defend against automated attacks and spam submissions.
- To meet legal obligations
- Where a law, a regulator or a court requires us to retain or produce records.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use enquiry data to build advertising profiles.
5. Your consent, and withdrawing it
Submitting the enquiry form is how you give consent for us to process what you sent in order to reply to you. That consent is specific to the purpose set out above.
You can withdraw it at any time by writing to info@rosni.in. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent was. It does not undo processing that has already lawfully happened, and it may mean we can no longer respond to the enquiry you sent.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as the relationship it belongs to is live, and for a period afterwards so that we can pick up a conversation you return to. Where an enquiry does not lead anywhere, we delete it once it is clear it will not.
Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then discarded.
Where a law requires a longer retention period, that period applies instead.
8. How we protect it
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry correspondence is limited to the Rosni personnel who need it. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss, and we review them as our systems change.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected individuals as the DPDP Act requires.
9. Your rights
As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
- Correction and completion — have inaccurate or misleading data corrected, and incomplete data completed.
- Erasure — have your personal data deleted, unless we are required to keep it for a legal purpose.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us, and escalate it if you are not satisfied.
- Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these, write to neelam@rosni.in. We may need to verify who you are before we act, which protects you as much as us.
10. Grievance redressal
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data or your request, contact our Grievance Officer:
- Grievance Officer
- Neelam, Rosni Agri Information Pvt Ltd
- neelam@rosni.in
- Post
- Rosni Agri Information Pvt Ltd, 1169/2, TDI City, Sector 110, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab 140307
We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within the timeframe the DPDP Act prescribes. If you remain dissatisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Children
This website and its enquiry form are intended for adults acting in a business capacity. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children through this site, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children.
If you believe a child has provided us personal data through this site, write to info@rosni.in and we will delete it.
13. Storage and transfers
Personal data collected through this site is stored on infrastructure operated for Rosni. Some of the service providers we use for email and anti-spam operate infrastructure outside India, which means data may be processed outside India in the course of delivering those services. Where that happens, it is subject to this policy and to any restriction the Government of India places on transfers under the DPDP Act.
14. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version. Where a change materially affects how we handle personal data we have already collected, we will take reasonable steps to tell the people affected rather than relying on this page alone.
Questions about this document, or about how Rosni handles your information, go to info@rosni.in.
